Faye Stephens confesses that she's not really the "running type", but having invested in these striking running shoes (a la Usain Bolt) she signed up for the Hove 5k Run. What she didn't realise then was that her motivation for the task would change dramatically in her first week of training, as her close friend Steph Foster was involved in a serious road accident that resulted in her being airlifted to the Wessex Neurological Centre and spending a month in an induced coma. 

Thankfully, though she still has some way to go, Steph is making an "amazing recovery" and Faye puts this down to the fantastic care her freind has received at the Wessex. As a way of expressing her thanks, she will be raising funds for Smile4Wessex as she runs through the streets of Hove on 22nd March.
