Taylor Wimpey Increases Support for 2017

Having initially adopted Smile4Wessex as its Charity of the Year for 2016, we're delighted that Taylor Wimpey Southern Counties region has decided to continue the relationship for a futher year. Indeed, after a successful first year which culminated with around a dozen staff attending the Smile4Wessex Gala Dinner, Taylor Wimpey is planning quarterley Smile4Wessex promotions at its numerous sales site across the Wessex region.

Following the announcement, Taylor Wimpey Sales Manager, Sally Prince visited the Wessex Neurological Centre to see for herself some of the projects funded by the charity, and to expand upon just how they are raising funds for Smile4Wessex.

"It was very humbling to learn how much money has been raised and see how the facilities have been improved making this one of the top Neurological centres. Since we adopted this as our Regional Charity, we have made contributions based on reservations at launch events, and the first £100 sponsored a dedication on the Smile4Wessex 'Wall of Smiles' (see photo above). More recently the proceeds from the raffle at the annual Staff party (£1,630) was donated along with the proceeds (£240) from selling furniture from the ex show apartment in Coast. During the course of the coming year, we will be holding quarterly Smile4Wessex weekends when any reservation will attract a donation of £100 to the cause. The first of these weekends was held on 11/12 March across all of our developments and raised a further £1,000 for Smile4Wessex."

We are of course hugely grateful to Taylor Wimpey Southern Counties for their continued and very generous support, and look forward to extending the mutual benefits of the relationship.
