Throughout the next year, Kim Wainwright will attempt to complete her virtual 874 mile 'End to End Challenge', from Lands End to John O'Groats.
Kim started her challenge on the 22nd November and aims to complete approximately 2.5 miles a day. Some may consider that a year to complete a challenge, would make it easier, but for Kim, this couldn't be further from the truth.
In December last year Kim was diagnosed with a meningioma and underwent a craniotomy in April to remove this. Since the procedure she has suffered with problems with her right leg and significantly reduced mobility, so this challenge will be particularly difficult for her.
It's 2.5m a day, which is about the limit of my walking ability, but I'm stubborn. In my previous life I ran marathons and miss the challenge and bling!
Kim will be raising money for Smile4Wessex, Brain Tumour Support and The Brain Tumour Charity.
