We were delighted to welcome Karl Elton back to the unit last week when he presented us with a cheque for £956.85 from the charity fundraising event he arranged in the summer.
The clay pigeon shoot is an annual event at the Purbeck Shooting School and took place this year on the 27th July, in aid of Smile4Wessex and the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance, raising a total of £1915.00!
Karl underwent surgery for a Brain tumour in 2018 after suffering symptoms of double vision, numbness and tingling in his left hand and slurred speech. Karl spent a week in the Wessex Neurological Centre and managed to return to shooting just a month following surgery.
We'd like to thank Karl, Purbeck Shooting School and everyone who helped make this event so successful and for supporting us.
