We were delighted to meet Ollie Smith and his family last Friday when they returned to The Wessex Neurological Centre from their home in Guernsey, 16 years after Ollie suffered a brain haemorrhage, whilst training at Southampton Football Academy.
Thanks to the wonderful staff at the unit, Ollie was able to look around the ICU Department and Wards where he would have been a patient at the age of just 16 years old!
He then spent Saturday visiting Southampton football club and training ground and met with the physio whose quick actions all those years ago saved Ollie's life.
We know how emotional your trip was, and it was an absolute pleasure to meet you all.
