On the 19th May, David Newman will commence a 1000km cycle ride in aid of Smile4wessex.
In May 2020, during the first lockdown, David suffered a major Stroke; but with the ambulance fortunately arriving within 5 minutes, David was able to undergo a mechanical thrombectomy within two hours at the Wessex Neurological Centre and has made an incredible recovery.
It is Davids wish to give something back to the unit as a thank you for the excellent and specialist care he received there, and we are truly grateful for his support.
David plans to complete his challenge on Saturday18th June, when a 3 hour concert will be held to celebrate, with Romsey Voices, Romsey Children's Choir and Romsey Youth Chamber Choir performing at Romsey United Reform Church at 7.00 pm.
All proceeds from this will also be donated to Smile4Wessex.
Please read Davids story HERE and support him with his wonderful challenge.
