On Wednesday 8th February, students from St Peters Catholic Primary School in Waterlooville will take to the water to raise funds for Smile4Wessex.
As part of their stewardship lessons, the children will turn their final swimming class into a sponsored event, by swimming lengths of the pool for their end of unit certificate.
The Swim has been inspired by Aaron Bennett, who has close links with the school, following his diagnosis of a 7cm brain tumour in April last year, which required him to undergo a 12 hour operation at the Wessex Neurological Centre to remove the tumour. Aaron completed his own challenge in November, when he undertook a 16 mile walk around Portsea Island, accompanied by family and friends.
Wishing all the children the very best of luck!
