In an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this family-owned south-west facing coastal chalet at Bovisand enjoys superb panoramic sea views, and directly overlooks a choice of sandy beaches. It's perfect for couples or family holidays, walking the coastal paths (the South West Coastal Path runs right past the front door), exploring the nearby beaches and rock pools, surfing, diving, snorkeling or simply relaxing and enjoying the view.
Only a mile from the quiet village of Down Thomas (with an excellent pub/restaurant), a similar distance from Staddon Heights (and its golf course) and 5 miles from the centre of Plymouth with the Hoe, Barbican, National Aquarium, theatre, cinemas and shops, there's plenty to see and do. The village of Wembury, where you can enjoy a Devon Cream Tea at the beachside cafe, and the twin villages of Newton Ferrers and Noss Mayo, which face one another across the River Yealm, are also well worth a visit.
Accommodation comprises two bedrooms plus a sofa bed in the lounge (sleeps 4-6), a fully fitted kitchen with double oven, hob, microwave and fridge freezer, and a shower room. The large front patio affords spectacular views across Plymouth Sound, and there can be few better places from which to sit and watch the sun setting over Cornwall, across the Sound. A smaller rear patio, an allocated parking place (parking subject to small weekly fee), and a small on-site shop and cafe complete the idyllic setting of this holiday 'home from home'.
Prices for a full week start from just £325 (Saturday to Saturday), and weekend/short breaks can be accommodated subject to availability.
