On Sunday 9th November Phillippa Crofts and her partner Sean completed the Dorney Lake 10k in memory of her Grandad, Bill Hiscock, in an impressive 1hr 12 mins.

On 22nd January 2025 Bill suffered a sudden bleed on the brain and was admitted to ICU at the Wessex Neurological Centre. He subsequently underwent surgery to drain the fluid from his brain, but sadly passed away on the 15th February.

Phillippa chose to support Smile4Wessex as a thank you for the care that her Grandad received and the support the family received from the teams at the Wessex Neurological Centre, which allowed them to be with her Grandad as much as possible during those weeks.
