On Sunday 22nd March, Luke Wood successfully completed the Eastleigh 10k in aid of Smile4Wessex.
Although Luke had been training since October, he had not run the full 10k prior to race day, so this was a daunting challenge for him. However, he was spurred on by remembering the wonderful staff at the Wessex Neurological Centre, who cared for him when he was diagnosed with Guillain-Barré syndrome in 2010, and who taught him to walk again along the corridors of the hospital, so crossing the finish line without walking or stopping is such a huge achievement and he should be incredibly proud of himself.
We'd like to thank Luke for choosing to support Smile4Wessex with his challenge and to everyone who has donated so far.
