Dr Ghaithaa Manla freely admits that she doesn't like running.... so why would she choose to run the Winchester Half Marathon?
Ghaithaa works as an Enterprise Research Fellow at University of Southampton, and it was the sudden passing of a colleague, Andrew Cranny, earlier this year that prompted her decision to run. "The Wessex Neurological Unit at Southampton General tried so hard to save my colleague’s life. Unfortunately, he passed away. I am not a runner and I don’t like running, but I will do it for Andy, and to raise funds for Smile4Wessex."
We're sure Ghaithaa's motivation will see her to the finish line, but if you'd like to give her an additional incentive then she appreciate your support HERE.
Many thanks for your support, Ghaithaa, and we're sure that Andy would appreciate your effort. Keep Smiling!
