In May 2020, Shane Bird will be taking to the skies in a tandem skydive with the amazing Red Devils, in aid of Smile4Wessex. 

The driving force behind Shane's fundraising is his son Tom, who was involved in a motorbike accident on the 25th July, sustaining a serious head injury.

"the staff at Wessex Neurological Centre at Southampton General Hospital saved his life which I will be forever grateful. I am now making it my mission to raise funds, my first fundraising is a Red devil skydive and there will be other events to follow"

Tom is thankfully no longer in Neuro Intensive Care, but is still very poorly at the Wessex Neurological Centre, and we wish him all the very best with his continuing recovery.
