On the 22nd and 23rd May, Natalie Cash will be taking on the Jurassic Coast Challenge from Corfe Castle to Bridport, in memory of her dear mum who sadly passed away in January 2020, after suddenly being taken ill on New Years Eve 2019. She was admitted to the Wessex Neurological Centre, where it was discovered she'd suffered a bleed on the brain.
Natalie and her family have a soft spot for the Dorset Coast, having spent many hours walking it with her mum, dad and brother when she was growing up. This time Natalie will be joined on the 100km trek by her close friends Christina, Maria and Penny.
"For those who knew Veronica they'll remember that she loved a good hike. Mom and dad went everywhere with walking boots and waterproofs in the boot of the car, always ready! This challenge is perfect to honour Mom's memory, remember her spirit and all the happy times we had and also help raise funds for this charity".
The challenge was originally planned for March 2020, but like most events was postponed due to the Coronavirus pandemic, so Natalie and her friends are hopeful it will be able to go ahead this year and are training hard to complete the challenge.
