Sobering task is celebration of sister's recovery

It will come as no surprise that social life for many university students can revolve around the Student Union bar, and rugby players are well known for their ability to sink a few 'bevvies', so when Adam Allright, vice president of Liverpool University rugby team, said he'd not touch a drop of alcohol for the whole of October, there were a few raised eyebrows! However, Adam has a very special motivation for going 'dry' and for raising funds for Smile4Wessex in the process. In his own words, here's why;

"In October 2015, my sister and best friend - Holly - had a brain haemorrhage and spent a good while in the Wessex Neurological Centre in Southampton. The people there took exceptional care of Holly and are a huge reason for why she has made such an incredible recovery. I want to give something back to the people that gave me my sister back.

"I will not be touching one drop of alcohol for the entire month of October - my own personal Everest. Please donate what you can so that so many more people can receive the exceptional treatment from Wessex and so many more lives could be saved and put back together."

Good luck Adam, and 'CHEERS' for your support.
