Rob Paull will be seeking the support of his fellow Fire Fighters to get him through his first 10 mile Great South Run on Sunday 20th October.
Rob will be following in the fundraising footsteps of his dad Mick Paull, who raised thousands of pounds for charity by running the biggest fire show in the country during his 44 years as a firefighter with the Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service.
After sustaining a severe head injury at work, Mick was treated for 10 days at the Wessex Neurological Centre, before sadly passing away in 2018.
"The care he received whilst in the unit was amazing and although our family never had a happy end to the nightmare we suffered, many family's do get their loved ones back thanks to these amazing people" [Rob Paull]
Rob will line up in Southsea with his colleagues Steve Baldwin and Dan Newell at the start of the 2019 Great South Run and will all be sporting their Smile4Wessex running vests !
