On Saturday 5th November, Aaron Bennett, his family and a group of crazy friends will be walking approximately 16 miles around Portsea Island in aid of Smile4Wessex.

Having experienced some blurred vision; on the 6th April 2022 Aaron visited his local optician, where it was discovered the pressure behind his eyes was abnormally high, and he was immediately referred to hopital for further assessment. Having believed he just needed a new prescription for his glasses, nothing could have prepared him for the news that infact he had a 7cm brain tumour!

Aaron ws admitted to the Wessex Neurological Centre, where he underwent a 12 hour operation to remove the tumour, followed by 24-48 hours in Intensive Care. He was finally discharged home five days later, where he has been concentrating on his recovery and is currently waiting to commence radiotherapy.
