On 7th June 2025, Matthew Claxson and the Moore Barlow Serious Injury Team will once again be dusting off their walking boots and striding out 25 miles to raise funds for Smile4Wessex.

Moore Barlow are long standing friends and supporters of the charity and are no strangers to fundraising as they have regularly taken on long distance challenges to support us over the last few years, including a sponsored 26 mile walk from their offices at Chandler's Ford, via Southampton General Hospital, to their offices in Lymington in June 2019, a 26 mile marathon walk from Salisbury Hospital to the Royal Hampshire County Hospital in Winchester in September 2021 and a 26km circular route, which started in Alton town centre and followed parts of both the Hangers Way and the Writers Way through picturesque Selborne and Chawton in May 2023.

Their latest challenge will take them to Inkpen Beacon, on the Hampshire / Berkshire border, which has spectacular views. They will be walking sections of The Test Way and the Wayfarers Walk by going out on one and back on the other with a section linking the two. This years team include; Michael Hayward, Juliette Moule, Claire Sagala, Rebecca Seymour, Carol Thomas, Niamh Glackin-Brown, Carole Carr, Alice Wise and Matthew Claxson.

The Moore Barlow Serious Injury Team act on behalf of those who have suffered brain injury to access rehabilitation, secure interim payments and recover compensation to rebuild lives. Their team work alongside Professional Deputies who support those as a result of their brain injury to manage money and property. As a result of this work they regularly see the benefit the Wessex Neurological Centre has upon people within the Wessex Region, and we are delighted that they have chosen to support us once again in raising money to fund the treatment that benefits so many.
