When Faye Holden contacted us to outline her plans for a fundraising challenge later this year, she expressed a familiar sentiment.
"I have had epilepsy since age six" she said, "and the Wessex Neurological Team have been amazingly helpful throughout the years, so now I'd like to give something back."
But she certainly hasn't chosen an easy option as she plans to cycle the 26.2 mile route of the Bournemouth Marathon, and then turn around and ride half that route in reverse - covering a total of almost 40 miles.
As you'll see from the training 'blog' included in her fundraising page (clck HERE to view), Faye is busily preparing for the event in a 'doggedly determined' way, with her faithful friend and training partner, Alvin, pictured here with Faye (click the image to see the full photo). So if you see a rather handsome hound pedal past on the streets of Bournemouth, the chances are that Faye will be right behind him ;-)
Thank you for your support, Faye, and all the best for your challenge.
